Like many New Yorkers, I have long awaited action from federal prosecutors concerning Mayor Eric Adams. Although the timing of an indictment has come sooner than expected, I stand fully prepared to step forward as a candidate for Mayor of New York City under the New York Conservative Party, should a special election be necessary.
As Vice Chairman of the Bronx County Conservative Party, I am well-versed in the procedural requirements for a special election in such an unprecedented situation. I anticipate that these charges and the resulting legal proceedings will not interfere with the current election cycle, given that Mayor Adams has chosen to fight these allegations, becoming the first sitting mayor to be federally indicted.
At this moment, I am honored to have garnered significant support from Conservative leaders throughout the Bronx, Manhattan, and Brooklyn. With this press release, I aim to further consolidate the backing of remaining Conservative leaders and to extend my outreach to Queens and Staten Island in the coming days. The unity of our boroughs and the principles we stand for will be critical as we navigate the challenges that lie ahead.
Should Governor Kathy Hochul take the step to remove Mayor Adams from office, or should Mayor Adams decide to resign, my team and petitioners are fully prepared to act swiftly. Our commitment is to provide New York City with the stable, responsible leadership it truly deserves—leadership dedicated to serving all its residents.
Now, more than ever, our city requires steadfast governance that prioritizes the needs of its people above special interests and campaign donors with deep pockets. I am prepared to lead New York with integrity and to place the concerns of everyday New Yorkers at the forefront of my efforts. Together, we can build a future in which New York City thrives despite adversity, recovering from past and recent leadership challenges, and moving toward a prosperous tomorrow.
