Last year, I held a public safety press conference as the Republican and Conservative Party candidate for New York City’s Public Advocate. I stood before the community, its leaders, candidates, and my fellow Conservative Party members with a clear message, one rooted in urgency, accountability, and the need for real leadership at a critical moment.
With the surge of gun violence in my neighborhood and across New York City, I felt a responsibility, a duty, to ensure that our community knows this: I see what is happening. I hear your concerns. I feel the weight of every story, every life impacted. And I am committed to fighting for change, not tomorrow, but right now, for public safety and for a stronger future.
But real change does not happen in silence, and it does not happen alone. It requires courage at the ballot box. It requires a willingness to challenge the status quo, to demand better, and to elect leaders who will not turn away from hard truths. It requires candidates who will stand up, speak out, and act decisively when it matters most.
That is why I called upon my fellow members of the Bronx Conservative Party to stand with me. And they answered that call. In that moment, we stood united, not just as candidates, but as voices for a community that deserves to feel safe again. I was proud to be joined by candidates Gary Lutz, James Washington-Ward, and Denise Smith, individuals who understand the urgency of this moment and the weight of what lies ahead.
Because this is bigger than politics. This is about safety. This is about trust. This is about the future of our neighborhoods.
The question now is simple: will we continue down the same path, or will we rise together and choose a safer, stronger future for New York City?
This video is from the 2025 election cycle, during which we held many press conferences addressing the critical issues facing our community.
