On Friday, October 23, at 6:30 PM, I will be on this week’s episode of the People’s Voice & Politics Show with Kevin C. Meggett, along with fellow guest Candace Niles on Millennium TV 24.
I look forward to speaking about my key platforms, past work, and the Corporal Yegor Zubarev Veterans Bill.
The bill addresses student veteran homelessness. In 2013, I became homeless while trying to attend Fordham University because landlords were unwilling to consider my Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits as a reliable source of income.
In response, I collected data, organized town hall events, and developed policy proposals to address this issue. In 2017, New York City passed Local Law 119, and the state followed suit in 2018.
Now, I am working to get this legislation passed in Congress so that student veterans across the country can receive the support they deserve.
