Yesterday, I had the honor of speaking at the Dominican American Republican Club ’s October meeting as a guest speaker.
I shared how grateful I was to be there. While I am fluent in Spanish, I rarely get to speak it in political settings, though it was more than fitting yesterday, and I was extremely grateful for the opportunity.
A key point I emphasized is that I will proudly support their candidate, Shery Olivo. Backing an Assembly candidate helps turn out votes down the entire line, lifting our Senate, Congressional, and top-of-the-ticket candidates alike.
Only focusing on the top of the ticket serves no one, and leaving so many ballot lines uncontested in the Bronx is a terrible missed opportunity.
It was a true honor, and I look forward to the Dominican American Republican Club’s growth.
