As a Marine veteran and candidate for New York City Public Advocate, I will host a press conference to stand against the rising tide of socialism that threatens the American Dream—especially here in the Bronx, where that dream was born for so many.
In a united front, Duran will be joined by the New York Young Republican Club’s Bronx Caucus, the Bronx Conservative Party, and the United Alliance Party to send a powerful message: Socialism has no place in the future of the Bronx or New York City.
“I was born and raised in the Bronx. I was educated here. I worked here. And everything I’ve ever fought for has been rooted in one enduring principle—to achieve the American Dream,” said Duran.
“I believe in the values that built this nation: free enterprise, personal responsibility, effective but limited government, and the sacred preservation of individual liberties. I recognize the need to confront inequality and create opportunity—but socialism is not the answer.”
Duran warns that the Democratic Socialist movement endangers economic freedom, suppresses innovation, and infringes on constitutional liberties. His campaign is not just a candidacy—it’s a call to action for every New Yorker who believes in the American promise.
“This press conference is a declaration. We will not remain silent as socialism creeps into our boroughs and our communities. We are organizing. We are mobilizing. And we are fighting back—shoulder to shoulder with the communities that still believe in hard work and self-determination.”
As Vice Chairman of the Bronx Conservative Party, Duran has spent the last two and a half years working to unify conservative voices across the city. As a Public Advocate candidate, he’s built bridges with Republicans and conservatives from every borough—ensuring that common-sense leadership is no longer a whisper but a roar.
